The thought of you brought memories flooding back,

The thought of the superhero I never had,

Mom told me you left for another wife

That you were too self centered,you never cared about other's plan.




I grew up hating you,yeah I truly did,

Thought of you brought profane words I couldn't speak,.
I could recall my classmate I nearly leeched,

Because the appraisal of their father seems to me like a mockery speech.

I hated you because you left,

You never waited to clear your mess,

It was only mum who faced the stress,

It seems more like that you left us for death.



I hated knowing you were my father,
When you never lifted me aloft on your shoulder,

You were never there to buy me biscuits and candies when I was sober,

You were never there to keep me away from the bullies that were a year or two older.




Now have grown in life,

Have transcended from a boy to man,

Have witness nature foil my plan,

Have seen it takes little or nothing for life to fall apart.




Have seen the struggles that comes with being called a man,

Now am dreading the thought of being called a dad,

The thought of living a life to take care of another life,

Once a child now I have to take care of another child.




But the challenge I'll gladly embrace,

Even though am total oblivious of my fate,

I won't be like you papa,I won't run away,

through the tick with them I'll stay.




I cried while writing this,

But I did this for the search of my inner peace,

I hope one day we'll be back as one piece,

Because I missed and loved you and am forgiving you my superhero.
