Hi all

I updated my Windows 10 and all of a sudden my search function stopped working. When I type something in the search bar, nothing will come up and it will just be a black screen. No, No, it is no fault of my windows or pc but an error from the Almighty Microsoft company, which they admitted to.

I have watched several videos offering various solutions and tried many of the solutions, restarted my pc numerous times, still didn't work.

But this fixed it like Magic:

Right-click on your "Start" Menu

Click on "Run"

Type "regedit" and open

Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search

Set "BingSearchEnabled" to 0 (if it does not exist, right click and create it as a DWORD)

Open your Task Manager and End the "Cortana" process (so it restarts and reloads that setting from the registry)

Eureka!, my windows 10 search is back
