Prof. Sagay, PACAC commend Buhari administration, calls VP 'sterling' deputy*

To underscore its commitment to the fight against corruption, the Buhari administration will continue to ramp up efforts in this area and engage more with anti-corruption agencies to highlight the progress recorded by the administration, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

Prof. Osinbajo stated this on Friday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, when he received a delegation from the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), led by its Chairman, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN).

The Vice President noted that Government will ramp up efforts to ensure that there is better synergy among anti-corruption agencies and other government agencies so as to push out the correct narratives on the fight against corruption.

"Nigerians are definitely familiar with the anti-corruption drive of this administration," the VP noted while stating that efforts to enlighten the public within Nigeria and beyond would be ramped up significantly.

In his remarks, the Chairman of PACAC, Prof. Sagay, noted that the administration has recorded significant achievements in its fight against corruption.

Prof. Sagay, renowned for his uncompromising stand in the fight against corruption by the Buhari administration, also expressed confidence in the sterling leadership role played by the Vice President in the achievements recorded so far by the committee.

He said, “We want to assure you of our confidence in your leadership, not only in the supervision of PACAC, but as a leader in this country. We also want to assure you that we have noted with pleasure your sterling performance as Vice President, and we regard you as a very successful co-pilot with President Muhammadu Buhari in steering the ship of this nation.

“We have absolute confidence in your leadership and will continue to associate with you and will look for your supervision and leadership role in what we are doing.”

The PACAC Chairman noted that a data and information synergy with the anti-corruption agencies would help to further highlight the efforts of this administration in its anti-corruption drive.

We must continue to sustain the fight against this monster and reduce it to the minimum, we know many thrive on it's existence but we know evil stand a chance only when good people refuse to take a stand against it
