Last night, in a fully packed San Siro stadium in Milan, the Milan derby held sway. A crescendo of noise from fans serenaded the stadium. Tempers rose, football fans from around the world kept vigil for the last Milan derby to be held in the San Siro.

Previous meetings between this two things have been ferocious, leaving little to the imagination. Tempers have been lost, goals have been scored, players have been hurt and emotions from players and fans have shown to the world that when it comes to the Milan derby, it's more than just football.

Last night was the last of it's kind in San Siro. New bloods have been injected and initiated into this spectacle, old bloods like Zlatan Ibrahimovic had returned just to continue from where he left off. The beast in human form,Lukaku couldn't wait to burst through the rugged Romagnoli. Rebic wasn't scared of Godin. Lautaro Martinez was the wounded lion as he had to sit out this one. Brozovic and Kessie were determined to turn the midfield into an arena of war. Alexis Sanchez was back with an adrelanine strong enough to scare the best of defenders, and so, the war began.

A great leap from the the gigantic Zlatan released the incoming Rebic to draw first flood. A part of the San Siro erupted in a thunderous roar, while the other part was as silent as the grave.

Minutes later, the Inter Milan fans were more quiet than the grave. Zlatan has come yet again to hunt them. This time, he did the damage himself on the stroke of halftime.

Down at halftime, but the Inter Milan team never never to be shut out so quickly and easily from this game. Conte fumed,Sanchez wasn't started yet, Barrella was a rampaging beast and Godin let God in as the lads came in for the second half of hostilities. And as expected, the desire came as fast as expected. A cross from Candreva was headed out and dropped majestically in front of Brozovic who cannoned a volley that two Oliver Khan's and a David De Gea wouldn't have stopped. This was just the beginning. And in a quick succession, Godin picked out Sanchez who beat the offside trap like he was getting a secret tutorial from Pipo Inzaghi, turned swiftly and released Vecino who rifled the ball home much to the delight of the Inter fans. The momentum was building strongly, the fans were now all up on their feet. The euphoria was mad oh!! Zlatan seemed tired, Rebic was red, Kessie was still determined to irk out something from the match, Chahanoglu was still a threat, but De Vrij had a different story to present. A towering header with his head bent in an angle strong enough to rupture his jugular. He towered a header that all but won Inter the match. The comeback was completed. In style and in class. Amidst all these, the beast Lukaku had the final straw that broke the back of the AC Milan side. Picked out by the elegant Victor,Moses, he maintained his composure and slotted home to put the icing on the cake in the last ever Milan derby to be held in San Siro.

In the end Milan was blue, emotional hugs and cheers took over from hours of tackles, shots and skills. The night was indeed hot and it sure hopes to be a match to be spoken of for long in the streets of Milan.
