I think if you are from a non-native English speaking country and require to take an English proficiency test, go for PTE Academic instead of IELTS. As far as my knowledge goes, PTE is accepted in almost all UK universities for masters program. PTE is easier than IELTS on many counts:
1. It gives results within 5 business days. However most results arrive only in 12 hours!
2. You can take the PTE on a single day within 3 hours.
3. Dates are available even 24 hours in advance.
4. You will score at least 0.5 band more on PTE if compared to an IELTS scale.
