Apostle Johnson Suleman, senior pastor and general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International has reacted to the February 13th Supreme Court judgement on Bayelsa State government election.

The clergyman in his reaction to the judgement said Nigeria politics is becoming comical.

According to him;
"Nigeria politics is becoming comical."

"INEC conducts election and announces results but supreme court declares winners." He continue; "So even if you dont do well in election just be ready to do well in court..political quagmire,catalytic and epileptic electoral process."

Supreme Court had on Thursday nullified the election of Bayelsa State governor-elect, David Lyon and his running mate Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to the All Progressives Congress’ candidates as the winners of the November 16, 2019 governorship election in the state.

The apex court also ordered the electoral empire to issue fresh certificates to the candidates of the party with the next highest votes and required constitutional spread of votes in the results of the election, which are the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidates, Senator Diri Douye.

The judgement is fair.
The deputy governorship candidate did wrong, the supreme Court used the Constitution to decide what next to do and they did it fair and square.

The supreme Court has always been fair in judgements irrespective of what politicians want us to believe.
They don't belong to anyone.

The only saving grace for Buhari is the sacking of onnoghen. PDP would have used Supreme Court to boot him out of office

I think the refusal of the president to sign the amended electoral act is the cause of most of the problems.

That action is actually the starting point of this judicial rascality.
It has become obvious now that the supreme court is divided along party bias due to that unfortunate incident.

We are praying that our democracy should get better and meet international standards but here we are, even the Judiciary has joined in bastardizing our democratic and electoral system.

Wrong judgement in Imo

Wrong judgement in Bayelsa

Which electoral act have we been using all these while and if it was defective, why wasn't it changed since 1999 by those incharge?
