Like a Wildflower,
I stand in my corner and stare at you
as you dance under the moonlit sky
but you do not see me...
I adorn your footpaths with my petals
and colour your air every night
and my heart shatters anew as you walk
past me to your gardenias and daisies and roses
and I want to warn you to be careful, they have thorns!
but you take them home with you instead.
So I stand here in my corner, watching you dance under the stars,
with the wind in your hair.
