1. 2020/2021 PTDF Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme to Study in UK

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), the Federal Government agency with the mandate of developing indigenous human capacity and petroleum technology to meet the needs of the oil and gas industry, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for Overseas MSc and PhD Scholarships to institutions under its UK strategic partnership initiative. Successful candidates will be awarded scholarships to study in UK commencing in the 2020/2021 academic session.

2. NHEF Scholars Programme for Nigerian Undergraduate Students 2020

The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) is offering the NHEF Scholars program to help Nigerian students study at the university in their penultimate year.

The NHEF partner universities include Ahmadu Bello University, Bayero University (Kano), the University of Ibadan, the University of Lagos, the University of Nigeria (Nsukka) and the University of Port Harcourt.



The NHEF Scholars Program represents a select cohort of students from each of our partner universities. They have shown strong academic excellence and rounding in both work and extracurricular activities.

We expect our scholars to be dedicated to community service, philanthropy, and to have a lasting impact on society. Through the NHEF Scholarship Program, they become successful future employees with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities associated with their chosen industry.

3. 2020-2021 Shell Undergraduate Scholarship for Nigerians

Shell Undergraduate Scholarship for Students in Nigerian Universities is one of the current scholarships for Nigerian undergraduates. Thus it is classified into two categories: National Merit Award (NM) and Areas of Operation MeritAward (OM).


Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited undergraduate scholarship awards for qualified second-year students in all Nigerian Universities.

Why Apply for Shell Scholarship 2020?
Every year, more than 4,000 Nigerian undergraduates write aptitude tests to join the evergrowing list of students which Shell Nigeria supports in Nigerian Universities.



The applicants are shortlisted on the basis of the national SSCE and JAMB examination results. This is followed by an aptitude test at the PortHarcourt, Warri, Enugu, Lagos and Abuja centers.

There are two categories of the Shell Scholarship Scheme, Only first-year students are eligible for the awards in both categories.

The merit-based Shell scholarships are in two categories:

The National Merit Award (NM) and – open to Nigerian undergraduates
The Areas of Operation Merit Award – open to indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas in Abia, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers States.
An average of 16,000 applicants responds to advertisements by Shell Nigeria every year, inviting qualified candidates to apply for the scholarships which are tenable only in Nigerian Universities.
