The condition of Nigeria students on tetfund sponsorship in foreign university has been so pitiful, sad, and unexplainable. Despite the very noble intention of the country for setting up of the agency and strong financial support given to the agency.
Most of the candidates on the agency sponsorship are stranded and are the mercy of their benevolent institutions, some have to abandon their programme, still others have to go on loan to complete their programme and to be faced with the reality of paying back.
Recently, the agency come up with a God knows formula to address this unholy development but still up in a cowboy style ever known with the agency operation. Staff of the agency live fat on the sorrowful and pathetic condition of these students.
The plead to the federal government is that we should end official humiliation of the country by addressing this ugly and disappointing behavior of the staff of tetfund by making sure that the recent pallative measure put in place to pay off these students is honestly implemented.
Instead of the using the poor students money by the agency staff in buying shops for their girlfriends in Abuja and environ. We should stop celebrating shameful actions and do the right for once. The agency needs holistic overhaul.
