I understand your view but mind you, everything isn't fraud.
When the Location Service Technology became available on phones, we were at first not too fund of it because we thought our locations would no longer be private.
Now we can all see the benefits that came with it. E.g. locating a lost phone, locating a "lost" relative or friend, finding your way around in an unfamiliar environment, etc.
New ideas usually meet oppositions but they are eventually embraced.
You can't say you don't want a knife in your home because it can be used as a weapon.
The use far outway the misuse.

Again, it doesn't necessarily have to be numbers. It could be their name or a nickname you gave them.
The important thing is that it must refer to a person, who can verify that you also are a person, that's all.

If you choose to submit numbers and not nicknames, you are required to seek the consent of the owners of the numbers.
