BlueRayDick:
The funny thing is some of us here in Nigeria, Our lecturers have plagiarized our first degree research project.

You will see a lecturer assign a new area of study for a brilliant student to sweat and toil over as final research project; all in the hope that once the student is scored A or B in the project, the lecturer proceeds to convert such research work to journal article and publish online.

Most students don't really care, they just want to score well and move on to promising careers outside the University, while the lecturers always use their work to help themselves.
My thoughts exactly

I studied in Germany and for every single report you write the lecturers first run your assignment through a plagiarism software first before marking it. If there is plagiarism present you are immediately exmatrikulated or if you are very very lucky(rare) you have to repeat the course. I can't even imagine someone having the guts to plagiarise someone else's work from the beginning to the end without fear. Wow!!

Please someone should help me out. I Just registered for my final year study yesterday.

But my biggest nightmare since 2016 that I got admitted to the Varsity is PROJECT. I'm so awful when it concerns Researching.

Just last week I made up my mind that I'll just patronize the Project seller here in NL. But seeing this, fear don catch me as I don't want anything that will dent my image in the near future.

Biko, Dear Niaralanders, How do I go about this project stuffs? where do I start from? I'm so bad at it I need guidelines, starting from selecting the project topic. Please help out.

My colleagues here in the Varsity has cleaning up my mess.

Anytime group assignments is given. We do division of Labour. They'll source out information and compile it, then I will study it and present (I'm averagely good at this one)
Go online, read notes on "Research methodology " or you'll most likely take a course in your final year explaining in details what research entails and finally, fraternize with post graduate students in your field in school to put you through.

Something that is regular here in Nigeria, some are even advertising it online. Maybe this will open the eyes of many undergraduates

I'm sure serious universities have the software to check for plagiarism. Such software have been available for decades, so I'm very sure it's in Nigeria now.
Universities must put the works of their students online, where it can easily be picked up . It's a very serious issue

I wonder why many universities in Nigeria don't take research serious for their undergraduate students
