Samson Adu Recovery Fund
On Thursday, November 21, 2019, our dear friend Samson Adu experienced traumatic 3rd degree burns to 40 percent of his body in a house fire.

Sam and Rachel Adu are Nigerian natives, who came to visit their long-time family friends Enahoro and Agnes Ovienmhada in Phoenix for the holidays. His wife Rachel and friend Agnes were grocery shopping when they came home to find the house ablaze.

Firefighters found Sam inside the home, where he suffered from burns and smoke inhalation. Sam suffers from Parkinson's disease so he was unable to move very quickly even before the fire, and the disease made it difficult for him to escape.

Man severely burned in North Phoenix Townhome fire

We thank the heroic firefighters who rescued him and rushed Sam to the hospital, and we give praise to God for preserving his life!

Sam will be discharged from Maricopa Medical Burn Center on February 12th, where he has been treated since the night of the accident. His recovery has been slow and complicated by his Parkinson's. His burns have healed, but he is currently very weak and still requiring tube feeding as he is still unable to swallow.

Sam will need months of rehabilitation, including physical, occupational, speech, and swallow therapy.

Please join the us in supporting our lifelong friends, the Adus. We've known each other for over 40 years, and we believe with your help Sam can enjoy many more productive years with his family and friends.

Thank you,
Enahoro & Agnes Ovienmhada

@nigeriaministerofhealth; @nigeriaministerofforeignaffairs - improve our healthcare system in Nigeria and also ensure there is adequate information on Nigerian citizens, both within and outside Nigeria....
When are you evacuating the Nigerians trapped in China?
I believe you will use your good office to effect a change.......
Please give to restore Samson Adu........

Friends please:

Click LIKE - if you are grateful to God and the American Fire service and Healthcare system for saving this Nigerian

He may have not been burnt if our healthcare system in Nigeria was 5% as good as what is present in the US, despite the fact that Nigeria is an oil rich nation.
