UNITED PATRIOTS: THE ONLY VEHICLE TO THE TREE OF GOOD GOVERNANCE.

Over the last two decades, the major political parties in Nigeria have drifted away from using their opportunity of being into power to improve the lives of the poor and the needy in the country.

Since the registration of United Patriots as a political party, the party has differentiated themselves from the tens of other political parties especially in the conduct of the party leadership and its commitment to the welfare of Nigerians and their common resolve to improve the Nigeria nation is never in doubt.

Thousands of voters in Enugu couldn't hide their joy and high expectations when they got news of the party's participation in the forthcoming local government election in the State. This joy and high acceptance of the party in the state is not unconnected with the leadership qualities of the state Chairman of the party. Hon. Michael Ndubuisi, being that the Chairman of the party in the state is a disciplined man of God whose sense of value and integrity is worthy of emulation.

The state Chairman of the party. Hon. Michael Ndubuisi while speaking to Newsmen in Enugu, listed why the United Patriots is the party to watch in the state local government election. According to him, today's Nigeria while deciding which candidate to vote in election no more vote according to party affiliation but cast their votes based on specific characteristics they look for in the candidates standing for the election. Hon. Michael Ezebioka maintained that his candidates in the local poll are made up of men and women of unquestionable character with the fear of God. In his words, at a time like this in the country, Nigeria political offices need to be filled with people who have the fear of God in them as that is the only way to rescue the country from the hands of corrupt leaders.

The state Chairman of the party who spoke to Newsmen immediately after a meeting with the state commissioner of police, listed his candidates for the election which include Hon. Onuora Ugochukwu (GOLD) for Awgu, Chairmanship, Orji Chinonso for Councillorship Awgu Ward 1 and Chinedu Eze Councillorship for Amanasato Ward 2. Others are Christian Okonkwo for Councillorship Amanabo South Ward, Hon Nwafor Innocent for councillorship Awgu Ward 2.

According to the state Chairman of the party. Hon. Michael, "The word integrity is defined as the adherence to moral and ethical principles; the soundness of moral character. It is a synonym for honesty and uprightness, and is a vital characteristic for those in political leadership, so the listed candidates of the party are men and women of integrity. He said that Political leaders who possess integrity can be trusted because he or she never veers from inner values, even when it might benefit them to do so. A leader must have the trust of followers. This requires the highest standard of integrity which the party, United Patriots is known for.

The state Chairman of the party called on the people of Enugu to come out in mass and vote for the candidates of United Patriots, noting that the party is the only vehicle to achieve sustainable development at the grassroot in the state. He enjoy his candidates to be law abiding while urging the security agents to carry on their duty in a professional manner without favour to any individual or political party.
