As January payment begins on Sunday, Fidelity customers are yet to receive their January stipends and the news on ground now is that FG is set to suspend npower, school feeding and other social investment programs....here is the details below

FG Sets To Suspend N-Power, School Feeding And Other Social Investment Programmes

Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq (Honourable Minister)

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has begun the process of suspending the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) with an immediate effect to restructure the programme for the greater good of its aim.

Following a press statement signed by the director of information, Rhoda Ishaku Iliya, "The decision by the ministry to overhaul the entire programme is to ensure maximum transparency, greater efficiency and more prudent application of resources.

"All present processes especially beneficiary enrolment and payments including for consultancies are being scrutinized and stakeholders are being consulted for inputs that will lead to the total overhaul of the programmes in order to achieve the purposes for which they were established.

Similarly, the Ministry will place all transactions on hold and under the microscope, thereby suspending all payments and transactions under this category.
