In our series of weird facts you don’t know about some countries – we are now shifting gears to weird and strange animals you don’t know exist in these countries.

Like the massive Artantic walrus picture resting on the coast of Spitsbergen, Svalbard. This Arctic island archipelago is a haven for wildlife, and the walrus can be seen resting on the sea ice and on shore in between rounds of feeding.

The walrus scientific name means “tooth walkers” – and they can use their tusks to haul themselves out of the water and onto the ice.
