Ghana has become a major tourist location in Africa, this can be traced to several reasons such as the abundance of tourist attractions, awesome food and the bubbly nightlife scene. Visa
Ghana has provisions for Visa on arrival for people who don’t own the local passport so if you have an American or Canadian passport, you have no cause for worry. Here are the steps to take when applying for a Visa on arrival in Ghana as a tourist.

Tourist Application Requirements for a Ghana Visa
Passport: You should provide your own passport which is valid for the next 6 months, has a blank visa page and is neat in appearance.
Photographs:
You are required to provide two colour, passport-type photographs that have been taken within the last three months against an all-white background, and printed on high-quality photo paper and whose size is two inches by two inches.
Visa Application Form :
Your visa application form should be fully completed and it should;
Include answers for all fields
Display your full name as it appears in your passport
Be signed
Be typed
Proof of Travel Arrangements
You must provide proof of travel arrangements for the duration of your trip. Details of your intended arrangements must:
Include a copy of an itinerary or e-ticket that displays your round trip travel and entry and exit dates for your destination
Show your name as printed on your passport.


Yellow Fever Vaccination
Getting vaccinated against yellow fever is a requirement for travelling to Ghana and while it’s most advisable to get the vaccination in advance, the Ghana airport authority has provision for getting vaccinated at the airport, which costs about 20 dollars on arrival at the Ghana Airports.
