Please I've come across this a couple of times on this section. I'ld like to know what "restructuring" means as it relates to Nigeria. Thank you.

Plan for states to be in control of their natural resources and manage it without federal government interference.

Oil is in Bayelsa's state in abundance but because FG are the one in charge, Bayelsa's only receive 13% of the extracted oil in their state.. Pure cheating

Thank you very much.

Let me further explain why it's somehow hard to achieve. Most of the states in Nigeria are so lazy to the extent that they depend on this same oil money while neglecting their natural resources.

For Nigeria to be restructured, at least 2/3 of the 36 states should be viable to sustain themselves without relying on oil revenue

Now Bayelsa state with population of 3 million has been collecting 13% on oil revenue plus other revenue . We are talking of billion of dollars.. Where are they? Any development to show for it?

Those are supposed to be one of the viable state but yet fail to manage her resources...

Let now talk about states with little resources which have been depending on oil revenue for sustainance. They are far more than states with abundant natural resources . Those are the states that will kill anything about restructuring cos they are parasite.
