Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) in Adamawa have rejected food supply brought by NEMA and have decided to go on hunger strike due to the fact that they have been abandoned for months and the usual handout of four bags of rice per household has been reduced to one bag through underhand dealing.From the report coming from SaharaReporters, the leader of IDPs,Umar Bakura said, "We cannot accept the rice because previously we were allocated four bags per household but now they give us one bag.Worst still the rice looked expired and spoilt."He further said,"As a matter of fact,we want to use this opportunity to call on the governor of Borno,Babagana Zullum,to evacuate us back home."
Meanwhile,operational officer of NEMA,Anahu Midala confirmed the shortfall in supply,adding they had forwarded complaint to Abuja over the issue."
