Ogbaru and Ndoni don't speak Enuani. Ndoni is even closer to Ukwuani than to Enuani. And while Onitsha is close to Enuani there are clear differences. Obosi doesn't speak Enuani. I also doubt that Mbaise speaks one uniform dialect. I've heard that Ezinihitte side of Mbaise speaks somewhat like Ngwa people. 2 Likes |

It's Ngbo not Mgbo. Also Ohafia isn't only spoken by bende people it's spoken by Ohafia and Edda people. Although there are very little difference between the way an Ohafia man and an Edda speaks but it's the same language. |

RedboneSmith: This is basically correct. I'll just add a bit more detail for anyone who cares. Mbaisne is not a uniform dialect group, and can thought of as really the merging of three "meta-dialect groupings". The original stock/meta-grouping having Ngwa affinity, another having Urata (Owerri) affinity and the last having Isu affinity. The Ngwa affinity encompasses the majority of Mbaisne, spreading over Ezinihitte LGA, the majority of Aboh LGA and parts of Ahiazu LGA. 2 Likes |
