1. Chris Ngige, sacked for Peter Obi
the Supreme Court sacked him and declared Peter Obi of APGA as the winner of the 2003 governorship election in the state


2. Celestian Omehia, sacked for Rotimi Amaechi

Omehia ruled Rivers state for five months before the Supreme Court sacked him and declared Rotimi Amaechi as the validly elected governor of the state.


3. Andy Uba, sacked for Peter Obi

PDP's Uba spent 17 days in office after being declared the winner of the Anambra governorship election in 2007 before the Supreme Court asked him to vacate the office for Peter Obi

4. Oserheimen Osunbor, sacked for Adams Oshiomhole
Osunbor spent 10 months in office as Edo state governor before the court sacked him and declared Adams Oshiomhole governor of Edo state


5. Olusegun Oni, sacked for Kayode Fayemi

Oni also spent two years in office as Ekiti state governor before the apex court sacked him and declared Kayode Fayemi

6. Olagunsoye Oyinlola, sacked for Rauf Aregbesola

Oyinlola of the PDP was asked to vacate the office as the governor of Osun state while the court declared Rauf Aregbesola, as the authentic governor.


7. Mukhtar Idris, sacked for Bello Matawalle

APC's Mukhtar Idris won the 2019 governorship election in Zamfara state.
Idris was forced to vacate the governorship seat for Bello Matawalle of the PDP. Because party's primaries did not follow laid down conditions

8. Emeka Ihedioha, sacked for Hope Uzodinma

After spending eight months in office, the Supreme Court voided Ihedioha's election and declared the APC's candidate, Hope Uzodinma



* David Lyon, sacked for Douye Diri

He was declared winner of the election, but a day to his swearing-in as governor, his election was invalidated by the Supreme Court his running mate Degi Eremienyo Wangagra submitted a fake certificate to Inec

This is not entirely correct. The Zamfara state situation and Bayelsa are the same, both have not been sworn in, so I don't think it should be lumped in the category of sacked governors as they were never governor of their State for just a DAY.


You also didn't mention OLUSEGUN AGAGU WHO WAS SACKED FOR OLUSEGUN MIMIKO IN ONDO STATE

Some things are remarkable in all this supreme court chirade in this states :

1. All of them happened in Christian controlled states.

2. 95% of the governors that won the supreme court judgement turned out to be northern stooges in their land

3. 95% of the states involved are in the south of Nigeria.


OP I dare you to release the names of the supreme court justices that sat on this case, you will be surprised that 95% of them were from the north.

The governors of Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Edo were sacked by court of appeal been the highest court to hear governorship election matters as eshrined in the electoral act before it was amended in 2010. The electoral act 2010 now makes it possible for governorship election tribunal to get to supreme Court level being the highest court of the land.
Remember, that was what brought dissentment between Jonathan and justice salami president of court of appeal then. Salami was accused to have used his position to favour ACN , as they were the beneficiary of the judgements. The latter was elevated to supreme Court which he rejected.
