There have been a lot of Speculations and rumours that the NYSC Batch A camping scheduled for March this year is to be postponed and the allowance for the current NYSC members been used to fight Coronavirus in Nigeria. The rumour has caused an uprise in the search of Latest Information on the NYSC portal and on various Social Media Platforms.

Last Sunday, The NYSC headquarters, debunked the rumours. In a statement by its spokeswoman, Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi, in Abuja, the NYSC stated that the exercise would be carried out as previously announced, and stressed that proactive measures were taken to ensure that the Corps members mobilized for the course were Protected from security. They are ensuring that the Corpers to be mobilized this March will not be infected by the virus. Social media reports have also been described as a hoax, which has been disseminated by protesters to cause panic among members of the Prospective Corps, PCM.

The Board promises that this year's mobilization will be done on strict medical terms, as such will be rolling out guidelines before the mobilization date. NYSC Members currently serving have received their Allowances for the month of February. The 2020 Batch “A” Orientation programme is scheduled to commence nationwide on 10th March 2020 amidst the arising fears from the Coronavirus.
