linearity: Very good write-up. The head of the World Health Organization said on Tuesday that the global mortality rate for Covid-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, was 3.4 percent, a figure that primarily reflects the outbreak in China, where the vast majority of cases have been detected. Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the organization’s director general, said in a news conference in Geneva that Covid-19 was deadlier than the seasonal flu but did not transmit as easily. “Globally, about 3.4 percent of reported Covid-19 cases have died,” Dr. Tedros said. “By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1 percent of those infected.” The estimate takes into account the growing number of infections being recorded outside China, mostly in Iran, Italy and South Korea. |

safarigirl: Give it time, come back in a week with your "We are immune to COVID 19" claim. Youve only just got patient zero, and you're wondering why COVID isn't spreading. That line about deserving every virus is just utter and complete rubbish. A viral infection will affect anyone, whether they be brown, white, black or bleached. All epidemics start with patient zero, then the story tells itself from then on. One only hopes we can at least delay its inevitable spread. 1 Like 1 Share |

passion007: Incubation period is between 2 days-2 weeks, even the patient zero is still alive last we checked. Every other country has recorded multiple patients, within days of their own patient zero, except African nations. A week has already passed since the Italian came down here and nothing, it must not be incubating well enough. Until you have an actual patient to speak of, it is not self deceit, I have told you the position of experts. Your pessimism is leading you on 1 Like |

solmus:But you don't really know anything oh. Trump has no business with America's health insurance as it's a totally private sector! The tax cuts benefited everybody! My aunt was finally able to build her own house because she had more money at hand thanks to the tax cuts. Do you know how American social securities work? Why keep funding an Ebola prevention team when there's no Ebola? Doomed US has the highest GDP, the best stock market ( before the coronavirus), 3.5% unemployment rate. Contrast that to Nigeria, France, Germany, the UK, China. |

omoharry: The critical thinking and methodologies, where do they come from? Those who are doing the critical thinking and methodologies are they irreligious (do not pray)? If they religious/prayer PROVE IT that it wasn't prayer that gives them inspiration. If the critical thinking and methodologies works for Lagos -Nigeria, why is it yet to work for other countries?
