Since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999, no Chief of Staff has attracted media attention like Abba Kyari; it’s important to note that it’s for all the wrong reasons too.

How Mr Kyari has managed to survive despite one calamitious event after another beats an average Nigerian. In the first term of this administration, Kyari was alleged to have collected a 29 million Naira bribe for awarding a contract.

Then there was another by former Acting Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Dauda who revealed how Kyari pressured him to share the $44 million Ikoyi millions.

There are other corruption allegations against Kyari and many believe there will be more when this administration’s tenure finishes in 2023. Let’s leave corruption and address other matters.

Why is it that only Abba Kyari has had an issue with a number of people in Buhari’s government? Recently, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno put him in his place in a scathing letter sent to the President.

Before Monguno’s case, there have been others including the televised disgraceful argument with former Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita during a Federal Executive Council meeting.

He has had disagreements with SGF, Boss Mustapha, and has tried to undermine Vice President Yemi Osinbajo claiming that his aides were sacked by the President, a scheme President Buhari denied.

Kyari is a stain on Nigeria and a stain on the Buhari administration, I’m afraid if the President does not do something about him, Kyari’s many controversies will be part of his legacy.

No President jokes with his CoS.

When you do that as a President, you compromise your security. The CoS is the President of the Villa.

Incase you don't know, there is nothing done by the CoS that the President is oblivious of. Even if he is, he can't go against the CoS.

The CoS does the dirty jobs. He must play dirty and must soil his hands to protect his President with or without his information. That is to give the President some plausible deniability.

A Buhari couldn't change his service chiefs...you want him to change his CoS?

He knows the implication. I doubt if he would.

Abba Kyari is not a problem and can never be, l have come to understand that we Nigerians love shifting blame a lot.

First the man in question is an appointee, in other word he can be sack at anytime.

Why then is nobody questioning Buhari concerning the activities of this man instead we are doing hide and seek.

Our formal petroleum minister did far More worse than this man yet the person that did appoint never at anytime complain.
Unfortunately Nigeria is not getting better anytime soon.
