Dear, politics and who birthed whom are complex.

Remember Anenih refused Oshiomhole as PDP governorship candidate. Anenih wanted to present Elder Odion Ugbesiah or Prof. Osunbor. Osunbor eventually was chosen. Then Oshiomhole moved to Labour party and finally Action Congress. Oshio later won in court to replace Osunbor as governor.

All those rant about stamping out god-fatherism in Edo was against Anenih for not allowing him to just come to PDP and get the governorship ticket on a platter. Not because he believed in it. As you can see from his tussle with Obaseki over control of Edo APC politics.

Before becoming governor, Oshio had no money. But Obaseki already had an investment company and had contacts in the business & banking world. Like Dangote. Obaseki was instrumental in raising the funds to campaign and fight the court battle all the way to victory. Nigerian politics is expensive. So no wonder he made Obaseki head of the Economic Team.

In a nutshell Oshio government raised Obaseki's profile and gave him a chance to be a candidate. But perhaps Oshio would never have become a governor if not for Obaseki's money pulling ability. So they made each other.

But I guess Obaseki wrongly believed that Oshio really meant it when he said no godfatherism. Only for Obaseki to receive a list of commissioners Oshio had compiled in his own parlour. Things went downhill for them from there. But Obaseki grudgingly accepted the list, waited half way through his term in office and sacked half of his (actually Oshio's selected) commissioners. Oshio saw it as a declaration of war.

For the record, they are all same. PDP, APC and their politicians. They are only after their own pockets and power.

Does the court even have right to sack him? Recall there was already a two factions of apc in Edo state. Where this exist, the national working committe of the party will utilize the dispute resolution mechanism of the part to fashion out the way forward. Is laughable that a court acted based on the suspension instituted by a faction of the party . Is the court now part of that faction? The judiciary might end up throwing this country into a big wahala one day.
