• Facebook NG: Remove Fuel Subsidies ( under recovery), you will raise N1 Trillion.

• FG: Great, we will remove fuel subsidies?

• Facebook NG: Why would you remove subsidies? Do you want to kill us?

• FG: But most of the fuel is being smuggled accross the border.

• Facebook NG: Empty brain, Close the border Joor!

Facebook NG: Which useless rice. Show me the plantation.

God is not an hypocrite, so therefore he could not bless a known looter like una Saraki and co

All you stated that the FG suggested has already been done without regarding the opinion of the masses.

Fuel has been increased.

Taxes increased.

More loans collected.

Borders closed.

Subsidy tripled.

Yet, no significant improvement for the masses.

The main issue is for the political class to reduce their allowances & other associated overhead cost. Until this is done, Nigerians will continue to oppose Draconian & ill-thought policies that only improverish the masses.

As long as folks like you fail to understand how democracy works your suffering will continue unended.

It is a criminal offence for a black man to debate issues and progress based on superior argument.
It is a criminal offence for a black man to debate issues so that alternate ideas are generated.
It is a criminal offence for a black man to debate issues so that others can be part of the resolution on matters that affects them.

For heavens sake we were taught to debate as early as grade 3. For what you may ask. To sort out and solve everyday social problems. How can an organ of government at the highest level supposedly filled with the brightest and best the country has to offer not rigorously debate an issue that will have far reaching consequences for generations to come....

And you say this is normal....

If you are going to remove subsidy, close borders, raise taxes, or in this case impose debts on my generations to come or anything that affects my security and welfare shouldn't you ask me first and get my permission first. Is this not a democracy anymore. Shouldn't I ask you questions and trouble you for alternatives and isn't it your duty to persuade me that course is right having exhausted all other options.

Is democracy no longer of the people, for the people.? Even God Almighty in the Bible says 'come let us reason together...'

You guys will never listen... Critical thinking and objective discourse are beyond the mental scope of sycophants.

See his ugly dark spot face. Has anyone noticed the dark spot on some politicians, wealthy, rich and some poor people here in nigeria. It's even okay when I sight it on poor peoples face but, the former with their billions, air-conditioned cars and access to healthy nourish meals. Still some of them looks like riff-raff, example is Jagaban too. I guess It's the effect of their fetish and diabolical ways....

Abaribe is a hypocrite, he is from Abia State and his party the PDP has been in power for the last 20 years and the State is under developed, what efforts has he made to correct all the maladministration of successive government in the State

Unlike one fool yesterday, you sounded more reasonable with this question so I will answer you rationally

You see, I don't defend anyone but you must understand that roles are defined

Abaribe is a federal senator not a state legislator

The state House of Assembly members hold the state governors accountable while the Senate and HoR members hold the president accountable

If you go outside of these confines, you dey find trouble.

Hmm

To everyone grumbling about how the Senate is a rubber stamp and how we are taking loans...

Let me tell you guys a cold and hard truth.

Nigeria is broke, has always been broke, and is going to continue to be broke.

1.Oil right now is 45 dollars per barrel. We need it at $140 per barrel. In 2012...we needed it at $120 per barrel. That's our breakeven price.

2.So as a result, we are not breaking even. We are not even making enough money to sustain the budget....

3.For those of you that say GEJ should have saved...even if he saved, at best we would have reached $100billion, and by now, most of those savings would have been gone because the oil prices since 2014 cannot sustain us.

4.If we don't take loans, the economic situation would be worse. As in, most Nigerians won't have been paid salaries for years. And essential prices would be at sky high prices.

5.If you want Nigeria to develop, you have to hold your leaders to account. You have to remove subsides, so that we can save money and attract investment and jobs. We have to end useless projects like N-power. We have to cut the bloated civil service and the National assembly, and the cost of governance. We have to spend more on inudstrial output and less on importing stuff.

In other words, leave oil and become industrial.

Taking loans to build railways in Abuja, expand the Ibadan -Kano rail network of digital transform NTA will not improve Nigeria, infrastructure are liabilities, Nigeria needs to invest the loans to generate revenues to fund security, infrastructures and development.

Invest the loans into PPP programmes to fix the government-owned refineries, building new modern steel plants, develop gold and iron mines and mechanise agriculture.

The present day government is not different from Saraki. They are all thieves and rogues. Am sure you are aware of loosing $349 million in oil theft in a month. 70-80% of Buhari’s cabinet are corrupt politicians that has corruption cases. How are they different from Saraki? What’s going on with all the money custom is making from border closure and also all the money being recovered by EFCC and why do we have to borrow so much if the federal government is making more money in custom and EFCC alone. Even the $22.7 billion about 60% of that money will be spent in the North and the whole Nigeria will be the one to pay it back and suffer for it. I don’t know how any reasonable human being will still try to support this devilish and blood sucking government.

they were in millions of dollars not billions

They will be used to pay of some outstanding loans, some thieves wanted the money to be spent here doing projects meanwhile bubu wants to use it to pay off loans

So much has to be done, that's why buhari requested the loans, development is expensive, the money you are screaming about some countries use it to build under see highways

That's how development is growing there

People can read about what and where the loans are going but people still prefer to complain as if they know everything, education no stop at the gate of school

Soyinka, my hero, is a founder of a confraternity. It did not mean the confra was initially founded for violence. It was basically for intellects only
Decades after, it was hijacked by hoodlums in the Universities and the Pyrate confraternity denounced membership of students.
Which means, any PC you find in schools have no affiliation with the fraternity founded by Prof. Wole.

Even schools in USA or other developed countries are at liberty to flag off their own fraternities. It's a normal thing

All the loans they’ve collected what have they done with it? How many billions have World Bank, China and several other countries given to Buhari administration? What have they done with them? The lack of development despite the trillions in debt tells exactly where this 22.769b loan is going to.... Buhari and several other politicians in his administrations pocket. I believe Buhari is a bigger looter than even Abacha. His mentor taught him well.

Nigerians who are patriotic should not expect any positive impact from this present national assembly leadership. Don't forget that the executive spent billions of naira to bribe some unpatriotic law makers to put the leaders of the national assembly there. So one should not expect them to bite the finger that fed them. Everything should be yes sir yes sir. The senate president even confirmed that any request from the executive would always have free passage. No one should be surprised that $22.7 billion loan request from the executive got approval without any robust debate on the floor of the senate even when some intelligent senators wanted to know the details of the loan and it was turned down by the senate president.
