Senator Abaribe says that in the next 10 to 20 years' time, the need for oil would have dropped significantly. Rather than Nigeria to depend solely on Oil, she should consider investing more in agriculture since people have to eat and we already have large land in the country that can be used for agriculture.

He used a comparison with the Netherlands and Niger state in Nigeria as an example. He said that despite Niger state is twice the size of the Netherland, the Netherlands had made 180 billion dollars in the export of agricultural products, while he isn't sure that Nigeria has made up to 100 billion dollars on oil.

He also stressed that in the past years, top-performing companies in terms of revenue generation were oil companies, but now, technology companies have taken over.

I'm blown away that a country has less land mass than a state in Nigeria. It will make sense why they export agricultural produce especially bass. If the land is so little then the people definitely are in the tens or hundreds of thousands at most, enough to feed five times a day and remain at a surplus.

Here we should stop focusing on agriculture and think of solutions more modern. The amount of capital the country generates daily can spread amongst the population in a way where every individual is employed for forty thousand naira per month. In such a situation the country will become better off since the average man's spending power will double or quadruple as opposed to the current situation of mass unemployment. The government should look into utilizing manpower, our people birth children unnecessarily especially illiterates.
