...an Arabic graduate who couldn't write English wrote his test in Arabic

The National Youth Service Corp, NYSC now conducts Intelligence Quotient tests for foreign students to ascertain their capacity.

TheNewsGuru.com, TNG reports that after vetting credentials submitted by the foreign students, an IQ test was conducted for them as they show up at the orientation camp in Kubwa, Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

Some of the students who could not pass the simple tests conducted by the corps were disqualified.

NYSC management during the registration as at last week Monday had put necessary measures to capture and disqualify the fake students trying to register for the service year.

The foreign students are given written test to write about themselves to really determine if they can properly write good English or studied abroad.

One of the foreign students who spoke to TNG under the condition of anonymity said a student who was given the test and he couldn’t write English, that he could only write in Arabic which he did and was eventually approved.

‘They basically wanted us to do an ‘exam’ to ensure that people actually went to school’.

‘Every group had different questions, some people were asked to speak about themselves but my group was asked to write on ‘the day I’ll never forget’ the exam lasted about 20 minutes and then people queued up for the actual verification and signed attendance register and they were free to go’.

‘It was a bit disorganised because they didn’t really have a plan but I suppose it worked out in the end’.

‘There were people that obviously didn’t go to school cause they couldn’t do the basic exam or could only muster up 4 to 5 lines of absolute crap, but it was not too bad in the end once they actually got going’.
