Atiku would win against Jonathan in the PDP primary if it is not rigged. The northerners in the PDP have more delegate and they would vote for themself. they may promise him heaven and earth, but when it comes to voting, they would not. that why the north made the primary secret ballot, so that they can vote against him.   It does not still mean atiku would win the general election too.

Is this why the Yorubas, edo and what not should move to benin?

Ileke-IdI:

If the "opinion polls that was recently circulated to media houses for publication" were ONLY done online, then there is a possibility of forgery.

= a fake"survey giving Atiku an edge over other presidential aspirants of the PDP" that "didnt take place"?

I think you should read the article again . . . opinion polls, whether conducted online or offline are valid as long as it is the opinion of the people that were obtained. One cannot deem a poll a forgery simply because it is not done using the media most popular to the one.

"The problem we have with the Atiku survey is that the subject matter cannot be accessed on the World Wide Web, the internet, which is the main research tool of this era. Does a goggle/yahoo/ search yourself. What we have seen that is close to the group claimed to have conducted the survey for Atiku is an organisation that concerns itself with market survey in the United States of America. There is also The Hague based Institute of Social Science Research, which is not the organisation Atiku claimed conducted the research."

The statement in bold there shows you what this particular group is saying. They are telling you that the reason they have chosen to conclude that it is a forgery is simply because it is not online. In a country like Nigeria, where over 90% of the population remain offline/do not have personal access to computers and the internet, it makes no sense to claim the only way a poll can be considered legit is if it is searchable on google.

Ileke-IdI , delta, edo and yoruba want to join benin rep, to save our lifes.  nigeria would have a civil war to solve the satellite picture.  when it comes to the pdp primary. the north has an advantage the way it is set up. what is our own busines with yourself. We were not born together.  look even if you remove us. the other would team up against the hausa/fulani. If we are there, the others would support  them.

We did not come with you people on the same day to this world. And we are not going with you.
Just let us go , everybody solve his problem. That not our problem.  dont forget no law ban us from running for the same position. our focus is not nigeria but our safety. His focus is his position. So you see we are parallel . We want out because we know what would happen. our history tell us, we have to shoot and kill the other for us to get justice.

And do you think it is easy to kill fellow human. You people would leave them with only one option to kill you people if you dont allow us to go. does that sound like something you would love to hear. that is going to be the other option they would against you.  peace my friend is better than war. our escape from war like zone is our problem

do you see those men.

So which other ways could the opinion polls have been conducted?

No other source were conducted. I'm sure that if an opinion poll had been asked by the people, a lot would come forward and mention how the poll was conducted.

What troubles the particular group is that they have no solid proof of opinion polls, they dont know how it was conducted, and how to verify if an actual poll was performed.

And why would a london based reasearch body need to conduct an opinion poll for Nigerian's PC? What concerns them

KoboJ, I think this was actually an online poll. That's why they question the legibility of the poll result

Please read the article to understand why and how they claim it is a forgery. I am not the one telling you the poll is not online, THEY ARE! If, in fact the poll was online, then reading the article will help you understand how I came to the claim that their argument for it being a forgery is silly and ridiculous STILL.

The opinion poll was supposedly conducted online [judging by my previous pix] . If it cannot be accessed online, with no other trace of evidence but the poll result chart that was printed in the paper, then it could have been faked. No website found for an online poll? fishy.

Nigeria's ruling party pulls opinion poll from website
http://www.afriquejet.com/news/africa-news/nigeria's-ruling-party-pulls-opinion-poll-from-website-2010122365052.html

Lagos, Nigeria - Nigeria's ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) appears to have removed from its official website the opinion polls on which of its two candidates is favoured to win the party's presidential primary 13 Jan. 2011.

When PANA visited the website (www.peoplesdemocraticparty.com) Wednesday, the poll was no longer on the page.

No reason was given for the removal, but a PDP source told PANA it could be because the local media have focused on the fact that President Goodluck Jonathan was trailing his opponent, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, in the opinion poll.

As at Tuesday morning, the President had scored 806 of the 1,706 votes, representing 47.2 per cent, while Abubakar had won 828 votes, representing 48.5 per cent.

Some 54 voters, representing 3.2 per cent, picked none of the two candidates, while 10 (0.6 per cent) were undecided.

The two-horse race between President Jonathan and Abubakar is being keenly contested, with both sides spending huge funds on newspaper advertisements to expose the other's weaknesses.

Nigeria will hold general elections in April 2011.

Not really. Above is an article explaining why it is offline. Still reason why this BOGUS group needs to get themselves a life. The Poll was not even on Atiku's own/controlled site but on the PDP site. Accusing Atiku of forging the poll simply because they could not access it or have no way of verifying it online is silly and ridiculous.

Ok so there was a website.

But why was the poll removed? even more fishy.

Very fishy.

how can PDP not be able to access a poll on their very own website?
Re: Atiku Accused Of Forging Opinion Polls by Kobojunkie: 9:03am On Dec 24, 2010
Ask PDP . . . . and Jonathan too. Cause I doubt Atiku himself, with the way he has been raving and blowing his mouth left and right, would do anything to sabotage a change to shine.
