Academy Award-winning American actor and filmmaker, Thomas Jeffrey Hanks better addressed as Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have tested positive for coronavirus while filming in Australia.

The 63-year-old Hollywood actor who is known for his comedic and dramatic roles in such films as Splash, Bachelor Party, Big, Turner & Hooch was on the Gold Coast in Queensland filming Baz Luhrmann’s untitled production about Elvis Presley when he and his wife came down with the virus.

Tom Hanks made the announcement via Instagram where he revealed that they tested positive for coronavirus after feeling “a bit tired, like they had colds”.
