Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) on Monday said the order given by the Appeal Court has restored Oshiomhole’s position as National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also said the party’s Acting National Secretary, Victor Giadom should vacate his position as the man running the affairs of APC now that Oshiomhole is back.

A three-man panel of the Court of Appeal presided over by Justice Abubakar Yahaya had ordered a stay of execution of the order of the FCT High Court suspending Adams Oshiomhole as the National chairman.

An FCT High Court sitting in Maitama has granted an interim order allowing Victor Giadom to pilot the affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as acting chairman and to preside over all National Executive Council meetings of the APC.

According to Sagay in a chat with Daily Independent” The ruling by the Appeal Court on stay of execution means Oshiomhole remains chairman for now”.

“That is the end of Giadom. Giadom should just go back home and sleep. The judgment Giadom got at the High Court is not relevant at all because that judgment was based on the belief that there was no National chairman; that there is a vacancy in that position”.

” If Oshiomhole got a judgment from Court of Appeal and Giadom is relying on High Court decision, that further confirms that he has no standing at all. He should go back to his position as Acting National Secretary and rest there for now. For now, Oshiomhole is the national chairman of APC ” he said.
