Checking lindaikejisblog.com right now 8:26pm 3/17/2020, I can see advert from the following giants amongst others
Airtel
Eco bank
Cadbury
Glo
GTBank
Access bank
Zenith bank
Pedini

Lindaikejisblog generates less than 35% of traffic nairaland generates. Nairaland is the 3rd biggest forum in the world. Why is it not getting advert from the big companies.

Nairaland is an Anonymous forum and as such the owner cannot be held liable for info and materials that are churned out through it, no company wants such. Secondly, no big company will be willing to pay heavy advert money to a forum where the owner is not known.
Lastly, if you see the owner of Nairaland on the road will you be able to recognise him? Physical presence helps in boosting stakeholders confidence that their money is in a good hand.

If the owner gives, he will get. For example, he need to start giving back to loyal contributors, posters, weekly star threads etc. All these things are ways of giving back and bigger channels of wealth creation will open up for him.

the owner is not an igbo businessman.

he is very comfortable with earning peanuts.

let it be that this site is owned by an igbo man, by now he will be changing private jets like he changes polo t-shirt

Who told you he's not getting adverts from big companies. I have seen a couple over the years, maybe the adbanners are too tiny for you to notice. When they have a campaign that matches nairaland audience they will come and certainly stop the ad at the end of the campaign.

Not monetized?
Sum up the 6 ad spaces on the homepage and multiply it by cost of placing advert on the homepage for 1 day. Then go into the sub forums and do the same.

Consistency is key and that's what Seun is on about.
Silence is golden. He doesn't want the celeb life. Leave him be.

Besides the owner is not complaining.
