THE DEVIL'S FART
(A poem on COVID-19)

Is it strange that I don't care,
If the wave of death is as near,
As the strands of invincible hairs in my ear?
I'm I brave for refusing to bow to the throne of fear?
Why do I relate more with peace than despair?
Despite the global corona virus scare?
Well, I will tell you why my dear.
And trust me, it isn't what you would want to hear.
But I will say it regardless of the feelings you may bear.
I will cut right to the chase, no long story.
The truth is... I simply found my resting place in God's Glory.
With His word as my lamp,
And his salvation as my visa stamp,
I gained entrance into the holy of holies.
To the ones who lost their loved ones this year,
To the devil's fart
from Wuhan's heart,
Take heart,
Sweet hearts.
For hope is surely near.
Don't wallow in grief and despair.
Your prayers are more effective than your tears.
It's possible that your loved one prefers it there.
Where the angels are warm and fair.
And untold mysteries, crystal clear.
Where joy is free as air.
And the glory of God owns the atmosphere.
Even if the global economy is in despair.
I will continue to tithe and render care.
Pay my taxes,
Feed the masses.
But I will never pay attention to fear.
