Accounts Officer

Confidential – A fast-growing mobile phone retailer with outlets in Lagos and Abuja.

Location:
Lagos

Responsibilities:
• Every day book keeping
• Processing of invoices and ensuring each expense is cross-checked with the corresponding invoice
• Documentation/recording of payments
• Tracking payables and receivables
• Maintaining the imprest system
• Inventory Management
• Petty cash/expense management
• Bank transactions/reconciliations
• Communicating with customers and sending bills to same promptly
• Processing refunds and resolving billing disputes
• Any other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications, Experience and Profile:
At least a University degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
1 - 5 years’ experience
Must have completed NYSC or be exempted
Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and other MS Office applications
Knowledge of accounting packages (e.g. Sage, etc)
High numeracy/computational skills
Good experience in Ledger postings
Strong attention to detail
Good written oral and communication skills
Sociable, Agile and energetic
Smart and intelligent
