A documentary producer has issued a warning of a person with a suspected case of coronavirus who might have attended the AMVCA and had contact with a number of Nigerian celebrities.

Ifeoma Chukwuogo said a man, who she she didn’t mention his name, flew in from the UK and is down with coronavirus symptoms, but he has refused to report himself to the NCDC to get tested.

Ifeoma added that this man interacted with “many people” at the Award ceremony and she has “receipts”.



She later said that she had called in the NCDC helpline to act immediately.

She advised that everyone who attended the AMVCA should self-isolate.

Film producer Priye Diri wrote: “What is this person who was at AMVCA testing positive to Covid19 I’m reading ”

And Ifeoma responded: “Very true story. He hasn’t tested but came in from the UK and is down with symptoms. Plans to fly right back out soon, but has interacted with many people. I have the receipts and if he continues to refuse to report himself to the NCDC, I’ll whistleblow the shit. With receipts.”

She later added: “UPDATE: Called the NCDC help line. Spoken to a rep, provided preliminary information. Will follow up first thing in the morning. Only delayed on calling for some hrs to properly verify some info first. Because didn’t want to 1: clog phone lines and 2: give wrong info.”

please do us the favor of self isolating yourself. Better still reach out to the nearest hospital for a potential treatment. But I wish and pray it will turnout negative. And always keep a positive mindset cos I believe your psychology is already messed up. That alone can even propagate an audio covid-19

I thought about this on the day of the event. Even though Covid was not affirmed in Nigeria at that time, AMVCA would have hosted a bunch of infected foreigners for the event to be a success.

I have come to realize that most death cases are now tagged "corona virus". The world is really up to something. Those who said the virus is not any worst than a flu are infact correct. The government should stop pressing the pannick button in a situation where most death cases comes from the aged and those with health issues.
