Job description of a Nurse:

A nurse plays a crucial role in improving the public’s health and well-being. They always put the needs of their patients first and are a critical link between those being treated and the wider medical team. As a nurse you will have the opportunity to work at different levels of practice, such as a staff nurse or advanced nurse practitioner, and within different specialisms, as a mental health or paediatric nurse for example. Your job will range from purely clinical care to wider emotional and social support and can take you into education, training and management.


Nurse Responsibilities:

*Assisting doctors with physical examinations and care plans;
*Performing an initial assessment of a patient’s condition;
*Informing patients and their relatives of what’s happening;
*Cleaning and dressing wounds;
*Taking patients’ temperatures and checking their blood pressure and pulse rates;
*Administering medication and injections;
*Taking blood samples (also known as venipuncture)
*Setting up drips and blood transfusions;
*Using different medical equipment;
*Checking on the progress of a patient’s progress;
*Handling sensitive and confidential information;
*Tutoring student nurses.

Requirement :
*Must be a resident of Delta state and familiar with it's environs
* Must have a nursing certificate either from a tertiary school or a nursing school
*Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage
* Computer skills must be above average
