3 Productive Things You Can Do During The Stay-At-Home Period : Written By Amechi "Double Six" Okoli

Hello guys, hope y'all are doing great. It’s no longer news that people have begun staying, and working from home. This is all in an effort to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

If you’re someone like me, who spends more time out of the house than inside the house, then this might feel strange or boring to you. However, it would be a shame if you don’t take full advantage of this rare opportunity.

I have listed out 3 productive things you can do while you spend time at home. One or more of these 3 activities would make the stay-at-home experience worthwhile!

1. Work

What’s more productive than working? Yeah I know, the bus drivers, okada riders, vulcanizers, and market women can’t work from home, but if your job permits you, then kick into full gear.

Take me for instance, I am a music producer, voiceover artiste, writer, and podcaster. I can make beats and record my podcasts at home (with a small set-up of course). I can also write for my clients right from the comfort of my couch. I am actually writing this article from my bed!

Working from home has some advantages too, one of them is being able to take breaks as much as you like without “Oga” or “Madam” monitoring you, lol. You can also sip some whiskey while you’re at it!

2. Learn A New Skill

Don’t lose faith if the nature of your job doesn’t permit you to work from home, there’s something else you could do that’ll be worth the effort - You could learn a new skill !!!

A time like this has shown us the importance of having at least one skill that can generate money remotely. First, you have to think of something you’ll be comfortable doing.

It could be –

• Weaving
• Sewing
• Cooking
• Soap making
• Web design
• Graphic design
• Beat making
• Soap making
• Affiliate marketing
• Digital marketing

You don’t even need a real-life teacher to learn a skill, you could read articles like this one, or watch tutorials on YouTube to get the info you need. Simple!

A new skill learned can be useful in the future. Now that you have some time on your hands, use it wisely and learn something new. Thank me later!

3. Do Some Exercise

Staying at home all day long can have a big impact on your weight. If you’re not careful, you may develop flabby arms and a pot belly, lol.

Doing exercise routines will not only help you maintain a healthy weight, it will also help you keep your outer and inner body fit.

Exercise improves blood flow, reduces anxiety, improves brain functionality, and last but not least – it keeps you looking sexy for your man (or lady). As una don lock una self inside house, we know say many “private” activities go dey take place!

Conclusion

There you have it, 3 productive things you can do right from the comfort of your home. There are other things you could do during the isolation period. These include –
* Building stronger bonds with your family

* Re-decorating your home (even if na one room apartment)

* Fix damaged home appliances

If you’ve got any other productive activity in mind then kindly let us know via the comment section, someone out there might need the info!
