With the world changing around us, the packaging industry is modifying its methods to manage the increasing demands of the die cutting box all over the world.

Several new techniques have surfaced about the manufacturing of the die cutting boxes in the packaging industry. This is due to the fact that modern demands are getting complicated as time is passing by.

The packaging industry is adapting to alter its ways according to the changing expectations of its increasingly demanding consumers. There are several industrially adopted techniques to enhance the productivity of modern packaging plants.

Modern Material

As the circle tightened around the use of plastic materials throughout the world, the packaging industry started looking for sustainable materials. One of the most recent developments in modifying the techniques of the die cut packaging is the invention of micro fibrillated cellulose in which the plant fibers are broken to the cellular level and reconstructed to form a very strong and withstanding material, but that is just experimental, they have yet to figure out a way to produce it in higher quantities.

However for conventional cardboard die cutting box, its strength is enhanced by manual reinforcing measures like metal pinning the glued parts and covering the gaps. But there is quite a hype to produce stronger and more sustainable materials for the packaging boxes that may serve all the purposes at an affordable price.

Industrial Robots

It is no longer a mystery that robots are playing their extensive roles in our lives, starting from various industrial processes to an automated Roomba vacuum cleaner robot. And to a very imminent assumption, the packaging industry is not an exception.

Several industrial robots have been deployed by modern packaging firms to automate the process as much as possible. They have given the adequate possibility to isolate the dangerous mechanical parts of machinery from the organic operator.

They also produce the die cut packaging boxes at an incredible pace, much faster than humans. They are resulting in spectacular results and making high production rates possible from a seemingly small facility. From the feeding of raw material to stacking up the finished die cutting box, these robots have assumed the responsibility of the entire production line.

Sophisticated Cutting Dyes

As the developments are moving in a more sustainable manner, so are the logistics of the packaging industry. Better and more adequate alloys and materials are being introduced to make stronger, and long-lasting cutting dies for the die cutting box.

They can undergo several uses before they finally deplete to an extent where they can no longer be used for the purpose. Die cut packaging is getting more complicated with the passing time due to the complex requirements of present-day designs. Therefore, newer and better techniques have been introduced to make the production process as smooth as possible with the minimum possible expenditure.

Laser Cutting

One of the most valuable developments in the recent past has been the introduction of laser cutting techniques. They have the versatility to carve out very complex shapes of die cutting box from the cardboard paper sheet that would not have been possible with the conventional metal cutting die.

They are controlled through an attached computer and can carve thousands of die cut packaging patterns within a few minutes. So you can expect a batch of a million of these boxes to be carved within 2 to 3 days.

This miraculous speed has been made possible through the cutting edge laser technology. Its implementation in the packaging industry is totally revolutionizing the concept of die cut packaging.

The starting cost might be high but it is very beneficial in the long run. Faster processing means more orders in the month, resulting in higher profits. No wonder laser has gained rapid popularity in the packaging industry.

Better Printing

Another considerable development in the manufacturing of die cut box is the introduction of better printing methods and machinery. Several better offset printing machines have surfaced, providing a breath-taking quality of printing at very affordable rates.

Better and more complex shapes and designs can be printed using digital printing methods, but that is a little costly in comparison. The latest printing techniques have enabled us to produce any desired pattern on our packaging boxes at an amazing speed and any desired quantity, with superior level consistency.

’’Modern problems, modern solutions’’, we might have heard this on several occasions while our packaging industry is implementing it. The production of our boxes made through the die cutting process has never been so optimized before today with a gradual improvement every day.

Hello. Thanks for the wonderful insight.
Please, how much can one get the Criscut machine and the die moulds?
Also, where can I get them in Nigeria?
