A popular global Islamic cleric, Mohammad Tawhidi, has called out President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria over his pronunciation of COVID-19 as Covikk 1-9 virus. Buhari, after much pressure from Nigerians to address the nation following the rising cases of coronavirus in the country, did a 33-second pre-recorded video in which he pronounced COVID-19 as Covikk 1-9, leading to a lot of backlash.
