It was just another movie like we always think, This white folks with their many complexities that was all that came to mind when we first heard the news of covid 19,it will pass we thought and imagined.
Never has it occur to us that it will soon knock at our door, we lived our lives normally as usual, we already have so much to deal with as a people, Bad leadership, bad roads, poor infrastructures to mention a few, we had become immune to informations of outbreak of deceases such as covid 19.
We woke in the morning with the news of the virus in Nigeria, It was said that an Italian man had flown into Lagos from Milan in Italy. Information quickly spread that it was a political move, Nigeria leaders want their share of the money W.H.O was given to countries that have been affected by the virus. Folks asked questions such as “ what is the name of the Italian man, we want to see his picture”, The government said we can’t give you his information , Doctor –client- privileges. So it was concluded this is another scam from the government. We went about our lives like nothing was happening, Days later another case was discovered and quarantined, he had contact with the Italian man, Nigerians still did not believe there was virus called covid 19, another was discovered, day after day we had new cases.
