One of the patients who has tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease has rejected the isolation center in Bauchi, due to the state of the center, source said.


According to a source who told daily trust newspapper, the patient was an important figure and a friend to the Bauchi state governor, rejected the isolation center returned home, saying, “This place is too dirty I can’t stay here.”


Despite the plead by the workers at the center the 62-year-old still left the center for his home in GRA,: source explained.


Confirming the incident, a source from Bauchi Ministry of Health said the committee members of the taskforce on the Novel coronavirus disease held a meeting and decided to relocate the man to another isolation center at Abubakar Tafawa University Teaching Hospital (Sani Same ward) which is more convenient for him.


Speaking on incident the state Commissioner of Health Dr Aliyu Muhammed Maigoro, did not deny the incident, he however said,: “The second index is currently admitted in the hospital.”
