Foolish man. What does he not understand about social distancing, lockdown and safety?

To him, he's smart, not knowing that he's contributing to spreading the virus infection more.

See how they cluster in one place.

I have been supporting the government in their fight against this virus but the closure of border by each state does not make sense to me.

How long do they think they can do this?
Very Big Question!

Re: Coronavirus: Rivers State Border Closure In Pictures by meum: 9:18pm On Mar 28, 2020
Now that is how to shut a border. Those @ the Federal level only knew how to shut border against foreign rice. They claimed they were ready for COVID-19. When COVID-19 came knocking they couldn't handle it.

Whether it is constitutionally wrong or not, let's flatten the curve. Stop moving about so we can control the spread.

China was able to control it because their citizens listened. Here in Nigeria we no dey hear word. From our leaders to the ones being led.

This is wrong.
The state is already infected. Woke himself could have been infected.
You can't shut down the borders and stop your citizens from entry. Some traveled interstate for business and are being prevented from going home.

Even the UK, US and other European countries that shut their borders are bringing their citizens back home (to be isolated of course).

China approach was different from US, UK

This is Nigeria and river state approach... We should accept it. How well US doing in handling the issue.

Aren't they aware, why do some Nigerians deliberately disobey rules? The other day there was uproar on the media because living faith didn't comply to government's directive, today another person was allegedly killed in Abuja by a police officer for similar offence.

Only time will tell if this your assertion is correct or not. However, leadership involves weighing all the options especially as it impacts the populist. The decision to totally shut a border is not one you take lightly, that is why every country hesitated because of the dire consequences. It is particularly worse for a nation like Nigeria that does not produce much. Thank God that at least we do not have to import all our rice again as it was a few years ago.

Those Army guys are not smiling at all. They only allow tankers and vehicles carrying perishable goods to pass. The Vehicles are neither allowed to turn back nor to proceed. They must remain wherever they are with no hope of leaving at any point in time. Children and women were seen pleading with them to grant them passage but they turned deaf ears haven stayed for hours without food or water.. You have to come down from the vehicle, trek across the bridge linking Portharcourt and Uyo to where there are waiting vehicles ready to assist.

God help us in this country.
Bunch of foolish citizens...Y didn't u guys travel since, perhaps u wanted to test d government
