Those guys should be under isolation for two weeks. I doubt if one or two of the 25 will not later test positive. 1 Like |

You will still have to pay for the cost of the ticket at the end of the day. This is not like a free service. For now, i will prefer to remain here than go into another 14 day isolation upon arrival in Texas. |

NNPC needs to provide the names of the Americans, when they were employed and what work are they desperately needed for. When countries are evacuating from Nigeria, these ones are coming in. |

Abike Dabiri said they don't even wanna come back to Nigeria (Naija which way? ) . That they are okay as the Chinese govt is taking good care of them. The students only asked for a token sum from the Nigerian govt which has been sent to them. lmm4real: |

toluzealous: Learn to read you no gree because you dey rush FTC. Right there in the first paragraph of the OP and you were embarrassing yourself and your teachers. SMH! Despite the temporary closure of Nigeria international airports, a chartered flight from the United States of America, USA, Monday landed at the Muritala Muhummed International Airport, Lagos with 35 persons aboard. The passengers aboard the flight are Americans working with the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC. Eriggs: Blowing plenty grammar but missing the point entirely. Na wa oh. 1 Like |

Excuzeme: Some of you just want to criticise the government at all cost. Read, you will not. Americans that you condemned don't criticise their government in this destructive manner. The message is clear. These Americans are working with NNPC (they are staff) and I hope you know some Nigerians are also in this position to other countries. It's there in the news but you refused to read it. The FG granted them landing right, they didn't just enter the country. In fact, the NNPC gave them all clear or you think they don't like to stay at home. Another one, those guys are operators and parts of the essential workers exempted by the government. If you don't or have never been in the oil sector, you may not understand how this works. Those guys work two weeks in and out and are responsible for the daily production of oil. Need you know there will be more problems for the host community (calabar) if they don't man the rig, well or plant because of the associated process safety risks. You also didn't read the president's speech two days ago where he reiterated that the port Health authority shall properly screen all essential service providers and workers. That's more of a test and they are not expected to isolate thereafter but rather go to work. If they have coronavirus, the PHA would have discovered it. As for the chaterred flight, you won't also understand because you are not in the industry. That's how it's chartered in the oil and gas for their operators. Same thing is done for Nigerians too outside the country and even in the country. Once the shifts gets to your turn, you are all chartered back to the field. Thank you 1 Like |
