Well, I don't know if that's the case here in Nigeria but it's pretty evident in other countries.

We've seen it all. Celebrities busted with narcotics, hit-and-run accidents, tax evasion, pedophiles and domestic abusers tend to get a slap on the wrist compared to the average citizen. Sometimes it could be just a matter of how much legal representation they are able to afford, and other times it is a matter clearly of who they are in the world of celebrity. Perhaps their agents, movie studios and record labels are able to persuade law enforcement to bend the rules or go easy on them for the sake of the individual's image and that of the studio or label they represent, but either way it is a problem. It sends the wrong message out to impressionable people who forget that they are not on the same level financially or socially as celebrities and expect to get away with breaking the law.

Yes it is, largely due to the amount of influence, connections and resources they have.

The answer is simple, in other continents, they enforce laws, over here, the law enforcers allows you to flout laws if you've got money.
Blame it on weak law enforcement
