Oyo state task force on COVID-19 has disclosed that effective from Monday 6th of April 2020, the infectious disease center Olodo would be fully operational.

The acting chairman of the task force, Professor Temitope Alonge who made this known during a press conference at the Olodo center, affirmed that the center had reached 70% completion.

Professor Alonge explained that with necessary equipment and facilities now in place, the state will be more interested in preventive measures rather than a curative approach to the pandemic.

The chairman of the task force also reeled out several facilities installed at the Intensive care unit and other units, noting that upon receipt of 500 million naira worth of testing kit, the state would be able to run about twenty tests per day.
