It was confirmed earlier today, after the Pro League chiefs met by conference call, and proposed that they will not resume after being initially suspended last three weeks, which would see Belgium become the first major European league to officially abandon the 2019/20 football season due to Coronavirus outbreak.

The Jupiler Pro League which is the top flight of Belgian football, will effectively make use of the most recent standings to declare the final finish.


As it stands, Club Brugge currently have a comfortable lead in the standings with 70 points, and will be set to be crowned champions, as they are 15 points clear above second place team Gent who has 54 points....
