Coronavirus Cases In Ubth by Restroom: 7:05pm On Apr 03, 2020
Today, I got to the office and was hit with the news that porters and some health workers in UBTH were told to write down names of people for coming in contact with a coronavirus patient.

The patient was in isolation, when his sample was taken for test at Irrua Specialist Teaching hospital. When his test result came out, irrua stated that the result was negative.

Because of that, ubth removed the patient from isolation and took him into the ward. Yesterday night, Irrua specialist teaching hospital called UBTH CMD to tell him that, the result was mixed up. That the patient was actually positive and that it was an error.

But damage was already done. The hospital had already moved the patient from isolation to the ward where other patients, doctors and nurses and relatives have interacted with him.

Consequently, this created panic among those who have come in contact with the patient who has since been transferred to irrua. Right now, those health workers who come in contact with him must be under self isolation and management watch.

One other patient have died from Corona virus in ubth. There is fear that local transmission of the infection is ongoing in the ubth.
