Happy new month dear naira landers, I never imagined I’d be writing on such a topic.

This confession has reached me quite late, leaving me in a state of anger, pain and a feeling of helplessness.
When BBC released their sex for grades video, I laughed at it not knowing karma was watching me.

My girlfriend (who id call Susana for the sake of this write-up), very, very, very dear to me has fallen victim to a monster. When she told me, I blamed her for being a victim, it was probably stupid of me but I was angry because she made some wrong decisions. Her personality- I had foreseen even before her weac might or rather would make her vulnerable.
I had told her, warned her severally that her nature would allow people like her lecturer use her. Her personality coupled with low self-esteem- i had always feared would be disadvantageous. Unfortunately, life has proven me right and make matters worse its happening in the education system.

I fear the lecturer is not just a pervert but a genius. Not to make this write-up lengthy, I’ve numbered the steps he took to manipulate Susana

1) Provided financial and academic assistance
2) Made himself known to her parent and ensuring her parent knew he was taking care of her at school (the genius plan of familiarity)
3) Made her his "God-daughter" (I thought I was her only God-father)
4) Was taking her outing (this is where I faulted Susana for being blind)
5) Sometimes transports her home (she is off campus)
All this he did to make Susana and her family comfortable with his presence and to disguise his hidden intentions.

one day, he insisted he’d take her home(with his ride of course) but branched one hotel not too far from Susana’s home; saying they should eat dinner before going home. I faulted Susana for agreeing to go with him. Now that I think of it, Susana is a naive girl that grew up within the four corners of her house. She would have trusted him completely and obeyed without asking a question. However, she is 18 years old and should have known better as I have warned her before.

It was in the hotel room that Susana was overpowered, and against her will (as she told me) was dis-virgined. The following events are something we've seen a thousand times in Nollywood movies; the begging and asking for forgiveness part.
Being who she is Susana would definitely accept the apology, even if she told me she didn't forgive him I wouldn't believe her because i know that girl very well. Slap her face and tell her sorry and you'd be forgiven immediately.

Another unfortunate day, Susana had not planned to photocopy a handout before going to school so upon photocopying she ran shot of tp. she didn’t realize until she was about to go home that her tp wasn’t complete. As he usually does; he called to check up on her whereabouts (bear in mind he is aware practical’s have closed late, after all he is indeed her fuuucking Lecturer.)

He offered to drive her home. She wanted to refuse but he had a commanding tune, the girl obliged. On the way home he took a different route; to another hotel, book a room and all this while Susana was following him like a donkey with a carrot over her head. Why did she sit still all this while I wondered? She claims she couldn't do anything about it, I thought her to be a coward for letting him boss her around like that.
"Why didn’t you live the vicinity" I asked.
“I had no idea where I was”. She responded.
My conscience plunged through my heart- a sword. There i was again blaming the victim for being a victim. My gosh, I’m no different from any common man.

In the room now, he has bought her food, she has refused to eat; he starts getting aggressive making Susana obey his command.
His lust is beginning to blind him again, now he starts to fuel his lust by touching sensitive parts of the female body- of Susana’s body.
She slaps his hands away, rejecting his seductive advances and in turn fueling his rage. His touch is no longer soft, he begins to command her body forcing her hands to places its never imagined it would be.
She realizes she is about to get raped, again! She fetched a little boldness; she screams. His hand bolted away from her like it was shocked by electricity.
There is fear in his eyes; he calms down; but his lust is kicking in again, he tries to be more persuasive; telling her how inlove he is with her and how he intends to replace his wife.

Susana wouldn't fall for this trick this time. She began to utilize the last defense she has left; her voice.
He looks into her eyes and sees she would not succumb to his theatrics this time around. With the face of an injured lion, he gives up.

They are outside of the hotel now, Susana is crying in the car; mister lecturer is trying to calm her down with his charm, using words that would remind anybody of Romeo.

Susana where have you been? Standing at the gate with cocktail of fury, fear and relief were Susana’s parents and neighbors planning what it would seem a rescue mission, they thought something had happened to their girl.
Mr Lecturer is still trying to use a more subtle approach to disguise the pulsating need of his genitals.

Why didn’t you tell your parents immediately I asked?
I would be in trouble, my education would be finished if I tell them.
Godammit!
I looked at the heavens hoping I might see a humanoid bright light with a calming voice but my hopes where cut short, of course sky daddy is not in the sky.
I looked to my left and behold a beautiful being, I was afraid, though it emitted and aura of strength. I inhaled deep and closed my eyes for what felt like a decade.

My eyes opened once again to loneliness but something was different, I felt strong and stuffed with the thought of rage.
Susana has made me promise to keep mute. To allow her continue her education in peace and avoid the embarrassment that comes with being a victim of rape. She swears she is emotionally ok, and feels no pain whatsoever. I promised her but I lied. My heart is aching.
Mr. Lecturer has committed a great crime and I shall not forgive him. The law might not catch up to him but surely 'vengeance is mine, said the lord' and I shall fulfill the prophecy of vengeance.

The soil shall be tinted red,
the sky shall weep and the gates of hell torn apart.

and strike with the swiftness of a fox.
