Last night I held her hands
trying to be her only hope
she lost it all and needed me
her world was black and she needed light
I was her only strength and her source of power
she looked at me and felt peace
with tears she told me her worries
I cleaned her tears and made her fine
spoke to her and calmed her fears
she slept in my arms and felt at ease
little did she know I was fighting my own battle
I was loosing it all and planning to end it
there was no one to tell my worries too
I couldn't even share my pains with anyone
as they all believed in my strength and power to deal with all issues
and as she came to me with her problems
I had to hide mine to deal with hers
funny how I managed to
but at times,being strong does not just mean hiding your pain and moving on
Sometimes it means,helping others to deal with there pains while you're still dealing with yours....
