The greatest dangers we face in life comes at the middle of the night (12-4am) when we are asleep.

Why?

We face a lot of unconscious battles in the spiritual world when we are asleep at midnight.

When we are asleep physically at midnight, the spiritual realm is really very active. Spiritual beings generally work hardest at midnight while humans sleep. Most of what happens to us and around us is first determined spiritually at midnight.

So practically, a lot of evil and wickedness are practiced spiritually at midnight when most people are deeply asleep.

This may shock you; do you know that as much as 95% of our most difficult and complex problems were sown into our lives at midnight when we were sleeping?

This is why we mustn't joke with our dream lives especially at midnight. Dreams are pointers to what has happened or is happening to us spiritually.

If your dreams are negative, then it simply means a lot of negative things have been sown into your life spiritually and if care is not taken, they might manifest physically.

Most people don't pray at midnight. As a result, they have bad dreams and this affects their physical life in a very bad way.

Most times what we see in our dream life is also what we see in our physical life. So if we want your lives to change and improve physically, we must be very active spiritually at midnight.

In reality, the midnight hour isn't just for sleeping. It is for taking charge of what happens in the physical realm through the spiritual realm. You see, the spiritual realm is most active at midnight; therefore we can greatly influence what happens in the day at this time.

“Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.”
— Psalms 74:20

Where are the dark places of the earth?

These are places where a lot of cruelty and wickedness are planned secretly under the cover of darkness at midnight. Most of the evil we see in this world aren't by accident; they are secretly executed from these dark places.

Poverty, stagnation, failure at the edge of success, backwardness, unemployment, suicides, disfavor, lack of helpers, business failure, marriage failure, premature deaths, mass deaths, tragic accidents, etc. are some of their works.

It is often when we sleep at midnight that these wicked practitioners often meet and try to afflict as many as possible with their evil missions.

Unfortunately, these evil practioners bound themselves with covenants. They have taken evil vows and agreements concerning many in their covens. Most times, they would prefer to die than lose their victims.

They are so wickedly wicked, the Bible says:

"suffer not a witch to live" (Exodus 22:18)


These evil practitioners in dark places are triumphant over many of us because we like too much sleep at night. We sleep too much and give these evil practitioners much liberty to practice their wickedness most freely.

If you like to pray during the day, the enemy wouldn't bother you much. But if you like to pray during the midnight hours, the enemy will declare TOTAL WAR against you. Why? You spoil the enemy's evil plans if are prayerful at midnight and the enemy doesn't want that at all.

Most times, the teachings on midnight prayers, makes the devil really very angry. He holds majority of people in captivity at midnight and doesn't want their freedom.

I remember once when i was teaching about midnight prayers in a church service and I came under instant attack. The enemy doesn't joke with his captives.

Just like with the Isrealites, your total deliverance can come at midnight:

²⁹ "And it came to pass, that at MIDNIGHT, the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

³⁰ And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said."

It's important to note that the Isrealites were in bondage in Egypt for 400 years. But just one midnight and they were delivered gloriously. Glorious deliverance comes at midnight.

Life's greatest battles are often fought at midnight; this is because the spiritual realm is most active then and determines most of what happens to us. Our greatest victories and deliverance also come at midnight.


Like mentioned earlier, it's usually at midnight that a lot of cruelty and wickedness are freely practiced. Therefore the need to be spiritually alert at this time cannot be over emphasized.


“And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.”
— 1 Kings 3:20

Here, it was at midnight that a secret exchange took place. A living child was secretly exchanged with a dead child while the living child's mother slept.

When the living child's mother woke up, behold she was with a dead child while her living child was with another.

Do you know that wicked things like this happen every midnight when we sleep?

A lot of wicked exchanges take place: the enemy can secretly exchange your glory for shame, your wealth for poverty, your increase for decrease, your health for sickness, your job for joblessness, your progress for backwardness,
etc.

God help us to keep alert at night, amen.

Our foundational problems can be forever solved at midnight. It doesn't really matter how long they have lasted, a final solution will come at midnight.

Similarly, our foundational enemies can be completely defeated at midnight. It doesn't really matter how long they have been operating, their defeats will be unending at midnight.

How do we go about midnight prayers?

1. Be determined. Make a firm decision to pray as much as possible at midnight.

2. Spend more time in Bible study. The Word of God is our spiritual food and gives us spiritual strength, power and faith for victory.

3. Spend time to pray in tongues, praises and worship to God.

4. Make faith declarations. Renounce curses and speak blessings into your life.

⁵ Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler."

How can we know those the enemy has as captives?

Those who sleep much at midnight.

If you have found out that you can hardly keep awake at midnight to pray between the hours 12-4am, then it simply means the enemy has you as a prisoner.

How can you deliver yourself?

Give not sleep to your eyes.
