Another Nigerian has died from the coronavirus. The deceased, Bola Omoyeni, died on Friday April 3, in a UK hospital.

A friend of the deceased, Kenny Daodu, who confirmed his death on Facebook, stated that the late Mr Omoyeni died few hours after being taken to the hospital on April 3.

Because it is family and friends releasing the names.

No responsible organisation would release such sensitive information without the family's permission.

What is sensitive about the information, if the identity is out; most people that have contact with him or his family come up to get tested.

I understand the fear of being stigmatized, but that's not more important than our safety.

You don't need to have such confidential information. After all, what would you do with it other than tell the rest of the world to avoid that human being.

Even when such a person is cured many would persecute and pour ridicule and scorn on such an individual.
